Parent Volunteer

1. Read Aloud (3:15-3:30 on our Discovery Rug, Daily)
- To read a chapter story to our class. (a few pages to a chapter a day)
^ 2. Homework Correction: 30-45 minutes (9:35-10:20, Friday)
- Homework needs to be checked.
3. Physical Education Coach (2:25-3:10, Monday & Tuesday)
- Parent(s) are needed to help provide physical education exercises. Our first sport is volleyball. 6 boys, 4 girls. (I prefer to choose a sport in which all the children can participate in PE simultaneously without having anyone bump heads. eg. Basketball)

Donations

1. Story books on every level
- Two options: set of children books at a yard sale or books in your home that your child is bored of. Our 4th grade class includes students who are on many levels so I need 1st grade level books up to 6th grade.
2. Academic supplies (From teacher supply stores for our centers)
- Social Studies - a globe
- Math - place value material (thousand blocks, hundred, tens and ones), flashcards, games
- Science - self contained experiments, a class pet
- English - flashcards, board games
3. Furniture
- Mini-table(s) (4th grade classroom has a designated space for a Science Center, a Math Center, an Art Center, a Writing Center, a Readers Center and a Social Studies Center. However I would like to provide the children with a Technology Center with an available computer just for the students. I need a table for the Readers center, and Technology Center for now)
- Computer, monitor, keyboard, mouse
